A Boutique Furniture

Painting Business.

Where it begins . . .

It begins with a discarded piece of furniture. Perhaps it was well-loved at one time but now it shows years of use. Maybe it is no longer deemed useful or it is no longer pretty or maybe it is broken or damaged. Maybe it belonged to a family member who has since passed away and there are no family or friends who need it or want it. And then, it is placed in the corners of a basement or a garage or a barn. And one day, it is discarded. Perhaps, it sits by the roadside on trash day or maybe it finds its way to a thrift shop or perhaps it is at the auction house or maybe even a yard sale.

And the transformation

begins . . .

And somewhere along the way, I find it (or maybe it finds me) and I see the potential. I lovingly clean it and fix what needs fixing. As I embark on a transformation, I envision something new. What will make it pretty and useful again. I determine if there are parts of it to strip and reveal some beautiful wood. I decide what color might do it justice. And then, I decide what kind of hardware and drawer liner would make it shine again.

This is what I do. I give new life to furniture. I create one-of-a-kind pieces with a story and a personality. And hopefully, I find someone new who will love it again.

“Collect the things you love, that are authentic to you, and your house becomes your story.”
