Remember a couple months ago when I wanted to try making my own candles? There has been a learning curve, but it has been fun. There truly is a science to the process of making candles.
My original plan was to keep the existing candles from my wholesaler and then supplement with my own, but I’ve decided to just do my candles because they have been so well received, and I do enjoy making them. It is relaxing to me. And, I am going to expand the scents and sizes over the next couple months. Hopefully with some help from my friends.
The Laurel + Cranberry candle is over-whelming popular. I introduced it as a winter scent, but it might have to stick around for awhile.
I will have this new scent at the open house. I have given it out to a few people for hostess gifts and it seems to be a winner.
When I am in the mood for something sweet smelling, I like to burn the Salted Caramel scent.
My wholesaler had a candle scent called Sweet Tobacco which has been wildly popular. I think I found the oil blend that is very similar (if not the same) called Tobacco Caramel, so I am trying it out. If you are a Sweet Tobacco fan, you’ll have to check this one out to see if it is a close match.
At the open house this Thursday, December 14 from 4:00-8:00, I am going to have some other sample scents for some feedback as to what you think would be good scents for The White House on the Square- Green Apple, Oatmeal + Honey, Serenity (it is suppose to be a stress reliever/spa scent) and fresh cotton tee.
And, in case you were wondering, Lavender Sandalwood is coming back the first of the year in large, medium and tarts.
Hope to see you at the open house.
Lots of Love,
